Re-Usable Stainless Steel Animal Feeding Needles
Our animal feeding needles are designed to meet the needs of pharmacologists, toxicologists, pathologists and other biomedical researchers working with laboratory animals. Precision assembly of stainless steel balls and grade 304 stainless steel tubing ensures a quality needle, suited for feeding and dosing without injury to sensitive tissues. The standard sizes in the five styles are the most popular in use by Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Universities, Hospitals, Government and Research Facilities, for the broadest range of animal incubation needs. Medical and scientific researchers recommend these quality animal feeding needles for Intra cardiac perfusion procedures. The unique ball design of the needle tip allows all operations to be completed with minimal risk of puncture to vital organs.
Plastic Feeding Needles for Rodents (disposable)
Teflon and Flexible Plastic (PTFE) Needles were developed to satisfy the demands of those researchers who require a low cost single use needle for critical applications.
PTFE and Teflon feeding tubes for rodent oral gavage are flexible to reduce the risk of trauma and disposable to eliminate the cost of cleaning and the chance of compound crossover. Flexible tubes are often recommended as an animal welfare refinement over rigid metal tubes.
The feeding tubes use medical grade Teflon or PFTE material to minimize the risk of interactions with test compounds. The soft silicon tip is designed to prevent inadvertent placement in the trachea and reduce the risk of perforation. The feeding tubes are available in a variety of diameters and lengths for use in rodents ranging in size from mouse pups to rats to hamsters, guinea pigs and rabbits.
Proper restraint and dosing technique are critical, and the technique can vary between flexible and rigid tubes. Inquire for more detail or assistance with size selections.
